Get the year started off right.  This is a chance for everyone in Florida to come together for a beginning of the year tournament.  Get your students geared up BEFORE you take them out of state.

 

Special Offerings

 

Six Entries per Event

 

Double Entry allowed between Debate and Speech

(Except Congress, Policy and FX&DX combined)

 

Novice Sections will be held in any event with sufficient entries.  A Novice is anyone with no more than 24 points and no more than 2 tournaments.  You must note your novices on entry.  Students may not be considered for novice awards if they are not entered as novices. 

 

Five Preliminary Rounds

 

Saturday finish time so your team can go out to dinner together for bonding time.

Early Afternoon Awards on Sunday to make travel easier. 

 

Tournament Details

 

Registration due Wednesday, August 30, 12 PM

Final Registration Friday Sept. 10, 7 – 10 PM at Tournament Hotel (Radisson UCF)

 

Entry Fee per student - $20 includes Saturday and Sunday Lunch

(Dinner will be on your own after the tournament both days)

Double Entry Fee - $5

Public Forum, Student Congress,

US Extemp., International Extemp.,

Oral Interpretation, Duo Interpretation,

Humorous Interpretation,

Dramatic Interpretation, Declamation,

Original Oratory

Judge Requirements:

1 judge per 2 TD/LD/PF

1 judge per 5 IE and Congress

 

          Limited number of judges for hire at $40 per day.
